About Miss. Ruff

(graduation day on campus)

I am a recent graduate from Appalachian State University where I worked hard for my BS in Art Education.

I have a slight (ok...huge) passion for art making and teaching!

When I was in kindergarten I won 1st place over all kindergartners for my drawing of "Granny Green Teeth". I am not saying this to show off, but to explain how early my passion began (you have to agree that's pretty impressive for a kindergartner though, right?) .

For as long as I can remember my plans were to become a famous artist. At 22, I have the artist part down, but am still working on the famous part.

I love hiking, biking, running, and pretty much anything that involves being outdoors!

My favorite medium in art is clay. Give me a potter's wheel and some clay and I am a happy girl!

I am so excited to begin this next chapter in my life at Summerfield Charter Academy.

    hi Miss Ruff,
    This is Angel Jones, mommy to Selah Jones a kindergartener at SCA. We love art in our home. Our New Year's Eve entertainment this past year was painting a horse on a big canvas. She is so excited to be coming to your class soon. Can't wait to see what happens this year!
